Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on May 5, 2019, deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Justin R. Brown, age 25, of Cast Street, Wayland New York. Deputies were dispatched to a report of a domestic incident on Cass Street in the Village of Wayland. It is alleged that Mr. Brown damaged the property of another and acted in a manner likely to be injurious to the physical, mental or moral welfare of a child. Mr. Brown was charged with four counts of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Mr. Brown was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court.
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on May 3, 2019, deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Gary R. Mullen III, age 23, of State Route 248, Canisteo, New York. It is alleged that Mr. Mullen entered and remained unlawfully in a residence on Seneca Road North, Hornell New York, with the intent of stealing a 2004 GMC pickup truck. It is further alleged that Mr. Mullen was located by the Rochester Police Department in possession of the pickup truck. Mr. Mullen was charged with Burglary in the Second Degree, a Class C Felony, and Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony. Mr. Mullen was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail, $10,000 property bond.
Mr. Mullen is also currently facing charges from the City of Hornell Police Department. Sheriff Allard thanks the City of Hornell Police Department and the Rochester City Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
