Troupsburg man killed in UTV Accident

On Saturday at 9:14 p.m. the New York State Police from the North Hornell barracks responded to the report of an accident involving a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) on Keegan Road in the town of Troupsburg. Upon arrival, Troopers began performing life-saving measures on the male victim, later identified as 50-year-old Ivan Learn. The life-saving measures were unsuccessful. Learn, a resident of County Route 117 in the town of Troupsburg was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene by Steuben County Coroner Brian May. Troopers interviewed witnesses, who stated the UTV was traveling northbound on Keegan Road, when it exited the roadway off of the eastbound shoulder and overturned for an unknown reason. The investigation is continuing at this time.
