The Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps issued this statement via Facebook:
This morning at approximately 7:41 a.m. Wellsville Ambulance’s Rescue Squad was dispatched with our Water Rescue Team to assist Belmont Fire and Amity Rescue with a water rescue at the Belmont Falls.
Wellsville Rescue 1 (Corey Smith) with a crew of 6 under the command of EMS Chief Erik J. Potter responded to the incident. The citizen in need of assistance was rescued without incident and all units returned to service shortly after 9 a.m.
The unidentified man was not injured.
