Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding
in a work zone. In accordance with the
Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in
a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.

Travel Advisory - Interstate 86 Kanona Rest Area Closed
The New York State Department of Transportation today
announced that, on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, the Kanona Rest Area located on
the west bound side of Interstate 86 in the town of Bath will be closed for
replacement of a backup generator. It is anticipated that the rest area will be
reopened by close of business on July 18, 2018, pending utility reconnection.
