Wellsville: Christmas Concert to Benefit Hunger Programs

Comfort and Joy is a concert of Christmas music that will be held Sunday, December 17th at 3 p.m. at Grace United Church, 289 N. Main Street, Wellsville. “This will be an eclectic mix of groups and Christmas music,” said David Toot, choir director at Grace United. “We have something for everyone.”
Participating in the concert will be Sound Foundation, Casual Reply, Chris and Lyndsey Dahill, the bell choir of Grace United, the choir of Grace United, as well as several musicians from the church including Irma Howard, her granddaughter Katya, and Jim and Gabby Knapp. The music will range from popular, sacred, spirituals, and original compositions. There is no charge for the concert, but a free will offering will be taken to support the Community Kitchen and Meals-on-Wheels. The Community Kitchen is located at the Mission Center of Grace United and provides a free meal at noontime on Saturdays for anyone. Mealson- Wheels are delivered five days a week to older people who find it difficult to shop or cook for themselves.
“The concert is a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon listening to beautiful music and supporting programs that help those right here in our own community,” said Toot. “Please join us.”
