Ulysses: Potter County worker injured when pinned by a car at Solid Waste Authority

A worker was injured Friday morning when he was struck by a car at the Solid Waste Authority on Route 49 in Ulysses. State Troopers said Rosemary Belcher, 71, of Ulysses was backing up when she struck Louis Leyrer, 57, of Genesee. Troopers said the man's leg became pinned between the car and a metal barrier. Leyrer was transported to Cole Memorial for treatment of a leg injury and chest pain. Troopers did not indicate if any charges were filed.
