Arrest made in death of Salamanca Supervisor and wife - struck and killed in the street
A Cattaraugus man has been charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter stemming from the
Friday afternoon car-pedestrian crash that killed Salamanca’s Town Supervisor
and his wife, the Town Clerk-Elect. Michael and Donna Phillips were fatally
injured as they crossed the street to enter the town hall. Deputies arrested
27-year-old s Kevin Donaldson Jr. He was charged with manslaughter and driving
while intoxicated. He was jailed on
$20,000 bail. He’ll return to court
tonight. For the time being, the Salamanca Deputy-Supervisor will be in charge.
The town board will sort things out when it meets next week.
