Allegany County Sheriff Rick Whitney reports that on October 5, 2017 deputies arrested Brian L. Stone, age 70 of Wellsville, for failure to register or verify an address change. The arrest stems from an investigation by Deputies regarding Stone failing to change his address as required by the New York State Sex Offender Registry. Stone was processed and transported to the Town of Friendship Court where he was arraigned and remanded to the Allegany County Jail with bail set at $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond, and is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Wellsville Court on October 11th at 10:00 a.m. for additional court action.

On October 2, 2017, deputies assisted the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office with the arrest of William J. Buddell, age 35 of Friendship, on a Genesee County Family Court Warrant.  Buddell was located in Friendship, processed, and turned over to the custody of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.

On October 5, 2017, with the assistance of the Wellsville Police Department, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office arrested Shawna M. Foster, age 32 of Wellsville on a Violation of Probation Warrant issued out of the Village of Belmont Court. Foster was processed and transported to the Allegany County Court where she was arraigned and remanded to the Allegany County Jail with bail set at $2,500cash or $5,000 insurance company bond. Foster is scheduled to reappear in the Village of Belmont Court on October 11, 2017 at 5:30 p.m for additional court action.
