A dispute over money that occurred at a private residence in
the Town of Canisteo on Sunday evening (04/02/17), has resulted in multiple

degree. According to Inv. Thomas J.
Khork, on Tuesday, the New York State Police at Bath were notified of the

pistol, and pointed it at the victim.
During the same incident, Chipman obtained the same pistol from his
brother, and believing that the weapon was loaded, pointed it at the victim’s
face and pulled the trigger. The weapon,
as well as a 2nd unregistered pistol, was recovered by N.Y.S. Troopers from the
N. Hornell barracks, with the assistance of the Canisteo Police Dept. Gavin Bartlett was charged with Menacing, 2nd
degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon, 4th degree – all
misdemeanors. George Chipman was charged
