Alfred State College has partnered with Enterprise Mobility to offer students the ability to participate in a Car Share program. Starting today, students can rent one of two Toyota Camry’s by the hour or by the day.
“We are in a rural area and our students sometimes have trouble with transportation to get to internships and places off campus,” commented Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Carrie Cokely. “After exploring several different options, we are excited to partner with Enterprise. As of today, students can rent cars hourly or daily to get to clinicals, internships, and other things off campus. We are excited about this partnership.”
Students can visit www.enterprisecarshare.com/alfredstate to learn more about the program. Rates start at $8 per hour and $64 per day, depending on the day of the week and time of day. Fuel, physical damage/liability protection and two hundred miles per day included (additional miles at $0.35 per mile). There is a $25 annual membership fee for the service.
“The great thing about the Enterprise Car Share vehicles is they can be rented as short as an hour they can also be rented by the day,” added Micaela Howe, Regional Sales Manager at Enterprise Mobility. “Whether you need to drive in to work for a couple of hours or need to go up to Rochester for an appointment you have the availability to rent the car as you need it for as long as you need it. Any student, staff, or faculty, 18 and up, now has access to rent these vehicles with no additional fees. The rates are inclusive of fuel, collision, and liability protection.”
Alfred State is the first college in New York to partner with Enterprise and one of thirteen colleges nationwide to offer a similar service to their campuses.
