Mary Jane Lockwood: Loving Mother and Grandmother
Mary Jane Lockwood, 96, of 7215 Crawford Creek Rd.,
Caneadea, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Jones Memorial Hospital
after lengthy illness.
Born on May 28, 1928, in Oramel, she was a daughter of Frank
and Lucy Mae Hillman Sprague. On July 3,
1946, in Caneadea, she married James Francis Lockwood who predeceased her on
March 30, 1999.
Mary Jane was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, mowing
lawn, cooking, baking, and loved animals.
She was a member of the Oramel Methodist Church and the
Belfast Crafty Bells.
Mary Jane is survived by a daughter Margaret Ann Fuller of Caneadea;
3 Grandchildren Eileen Catherine Pierce, Stewart Laverne Fuller and James Riley
Fuller; 7 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; a sister Dorothy
Frungillo of Belmont and several Nieces and Nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased
by two Sons Larry James Lockwood and Gary Steven Lockwood, a brother Archie
Hillman and two sisters Ethel Mae Gowdy and Effie Sweet.
Friends may call at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home &
Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 from
11:00 A.M. until Noon at which time a Funeral Service will begin in the Funeral
Home. The Rev. Michelle Serra will
officiate.
Burial will be in Oramel Cemetery, Caneadea, New York
