Ken was a graduate of Bensalem High School in Bucks County, class of 1960. Throughout his life, Kenneth was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his trade as a welder. He spent many years working at Micale's Construction in Bradford until his retirement in 2007. His skills and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact on those around him. After retiring, he held a part-time position as a custodian at Hamlin Bank for several years.
Ken had a distinct personality and never hesitated to express his thoughts. He wore his favorite flannel shirts and blue jeans year-round. Ken loved indulging in a good cheesesteak and listening to his favorite Merle Haggard tunes. Ken earned his Extra amateur radio license and obtained accreditation from the FCC to become a Volunteer Examiner (VE), allowing him to administer amateur radio operator license examinations. Ken was a man of many talents and interests. He had a passion for electronic gadgets and possessed a wealth of knowledge along with a knack for all things mechanical. His hobbies included playing his guitar, checking his favorite weather apps, and watching the birds. In addition, Ken also enjoyed amateur radio, N-gauge model trains, and astronomy. He was a skilled woodworker, crafting various items from coffee tables to candlesticks. However, one of his greatest passions was for animals, especially his dog, Bandit, who held a special place in his heart.
Ken was a member of Park United Methodist Church in Coudersport, PA.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Laura Geiser; his daughters, Melanie (Sean) Farrant, Terri (Brian) Ramberger, and Lisa Frye; a son, John Geiser; a sister, Peggy (Joseph) Murphy; brother-in-law, John (Charlotte) Hayn; sister-in-law, Helen (Ralph) Gruver; his grandchildren, Nicole Williams, Shaelyn Ramberger, Matthew Frye, and Adam Frye; several nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Shirley Geiser; and a brother, Joseph (Eddie) Geiser.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 31, 2024 in Park United Methodist Church, 15 E. Third Street, Coudersport, PA. Rev. Gregory Rapp will officiate.
