Wellsville Ambulance is proud to announce that it has taken delivery of its brand new Amkus rescue Systems Battery Operated Jaws of Life.
For many years, Wellsville Ambulance has operated with Hurst Hydraulic Jaws of Life. Their Hurst tools are very bulky and have sometimes given members troubles due to the weight of the tools. In addition, access difficulties sometimes exist with our Hurst Tools due to the length of the Hydraulic Lines that they are attached to.
The new Amkus Battery Operated Tools are lighter, faster, and easier for our members to handle. These tools, because they are battery operated and can go anywhere anytime, will allow us to safely extricate a patient that is trapped in a Motor Vehicle after an accident regardless of the location of the vehicle.
