Central NY (including Steuben) Firemen’s Association convention called off

One by one, the coronavirus is whacking events and activities. The latest victim…the Central NY Firemen’s Association convention, which was supposed to kick off in Owego next month. It’s been a decade since the village hosted the event, which would have brought in hundreds of firefighters from 20 counties, including Steuben. The convention would have brought in some badly needed money for local businesses. Fingers crossed, Owego be able to host next year’s event, currently scheduled for July 8-11.
