The Village of Wellsville recently donated surplus water treatment monitoring equipment to the New York Rural Water Association. J. Andrew Herman is the Association CEO. In a letter to Mayor Randy Shayler, he wrote:
"Many small communities across rural New York State have issues with funding the purchase of such equipment. Your kind and generous donation will go a long way in helping a few communities upgrade their equipment, and maintain regulatory compliance with the rules and regulations set forth by the State of New York.
We appreciate your generosity, and will ensure this valuable equipment is provided to communities in need, and we will be sure to provide them with information regarding the donation from the Village of Wellsville."
Specifically, Herman recognized Mayor Shayler, the Board of Trustees, Director of Public Works Bill Whitfield and Chief Water Plant Operator Dana Harris.
