Alma town board to hold special meeting over lawsuit

The Alma Town Board has set a special meeting for January 24th at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at the request of new council members Steve Dickerson and Gerald Currier…they want to address the Town’s legal defense in the Article 78 lawsuit brought by Highway Superintendent Daniel Ford. An Insurance company representing the town is paying to cover the costs of the town litigation. Since the topic involves a personnel matter and pending litigation, the town supervisor said the meeting could be held behind closed doors.
