VILLAGE OF WELLSVILLE
The Village of Wellsville is currently accepting applications for a Heavy Motor Equipment Operator to fill a full-time vacancy in the Streets Division of the Public Works Department under general supervision of the Streets Division Supervisor.
Required Skills: Good knowledge and demonstrated skill of the operation and maintenance of the specialized heavy equipment such as loader, crawler, dozer and power shovel, etc. is required Must possess the ability to make minor repairs; good mechanical skills; ability to follow oral and written instructions; willingness to work outdoors under adverse weather conditions; be reliable and industrious. Candidates must possess the physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
Minimum Qualifications: Two years of experience in the operation of such motor equipment as trucks, tractors, etc. and one year of experience in the operation of specialized heavy motor equipment. Candidate must possess the appropriate NYS Commercial Driver’s License.
