Manhunt continues for Edward R. Bancroft, 31, Angelica - warning issued to residents

BREAKING UPDATE AT 10:31 A.M. - BANCROFT HAS BEEN LOCATED IN LIVINGSTON COUNTY...

PRESS RELEASE
Since the original press release was issued, State Police are investigating a stolen ATV and a truck stolen in the town of Almond. The truck was pursued to the town of Ossian where the suspect, Edward Bancroft, fled on foot. Bancroft is believed to be in the area of the Livingston/Allegany County line. It is unknown if he is on foot or has another vehicle.  All residents are requested to call State Police-Batavia, 585-344-6200, or 911 if they see Bancroft or observe any suspicious activity.  Residents are also requested to remove keys from all vehicles and keep their property locked. Two photos are attached of Bancroft, with and without facial hair.

State Police request assistance locating a suspect...
The New York State Police investigated a collision following a pursuit in the town of Eagle in which the operator fled into a wooded area. State Police, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Police, and the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office conducted a search. The suspect has not been located, but has been identified as Edward R. Bancroft, 31, of County Road 16, Angelica, NY. Bancroft is also the suspect in multiple vehicle larcenies under investigation by the State Police and Livingston County Sheriff’s Office occurring across Wyoming, Livingston, Steuben, and Allegany Counties, as well as an arson in Allegany County.
State Police are advising the public to keep their homes and vehicles locked, and to report any possible sightings of Bancroft to SP Batavia at 585-344-6200.
