RE: 2019 County/Town Bridge Cost-Sharing Program
In accordance with Section 238 of the New York State Highway
Law, this Department is submitting to the Board for its review a condition and
feasibility report on the following Town system bridge, to be constructed under
the County/Town Bridge Cost-Sharing Program: as per County Resolution No.
65-95.
LOCATION/STRUCTURE
NUMBER:
Location: Madison Street, Village of Wellsville, B.I.N.
2255160, Local Bridge # 26-19
DESCRIPTION OF
PROJECT EXISTING CONDITIONS:
The present structure is a three-span, prestressed concrete
multi-beam bridge built in 1971.
PROPOSED CORRECTIVE
ACTION:
It is proposed to replace the entire structure with either a
steel beam/concrete deck superstructure or a through truss and concrete deck on
new concrete abutments and wing walls and upgrading the guide rail system to
current standards. This project has been funded through Federal and State
funding with a local share broken down to 4.25% County and .75% Town and has
been set up with Capital Account #H5965 with the County share already
allocated.

for local residents.
DETOUR:
There will not be an on-site detour.
Estimated Cost: $ 2,572,000.00
Federal/State Share: $ 2,443,400.00
County Share: (4.25%) $ 122,170.00
