Pennsylvania State Police are continuing to investigate an
apparent murder-suicide that left four people dead in Bradford County. It
happened sometime Friday at a home on Goodeneck Road in Wyalusing. As troopers
and investigators piece the case together, they believe right now that Jesse
Northrup shot and killed three people before turning the gun on himself. The
other victims have been identified as Edwin Bidlack, Candy Bidlack and Johnnie
Johnson. Police say a motive remains unclear.
In a statement to WENY Sunday, coroner Tom Carman said:
“At this time although a clear motive is still under investigation, we are aware that Mr. Northrup had stopped taking his prescribed medications, 3 of which are concerning to stop abruptly and for an extended period of time. We are also aware that Mr. Northrup had been terminated from his place of employment days proceeding this horrific event.”
