An early morning fire destroyed a structure in Genesee, PA today. The alarm sounded around 6:30 a.m. sending Genesee firefighters to 2862 Hickox-Ulysses Road. The building was described as a storage shed, about 20 by 30 feet. An on scene chief said the structure was destroyed as was some equipment inside. Extra help was called in from Ulysses, Whitesville and Willing. Andover firefighters were placed on standby. The cause remains under investigation. There were no reported injuries.
Firefighters were called back to the scene when the debris sparked up again.
