Warsaw Airport to install a weather observing system

U.S. Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand Tuesday announced $6,199,493 in federal funding for airports and transportation authorities throughout New York. The funding was allocated through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Some of the funding is headed to Wyoming County. The Perry-Warsaw airport will receive $231,975 to install a weather observing system.
“Investing in local airport infrastructure is critical to New York’s economic development,” said Senator Gillibrand. “With this federal funding, airports throughout New York will be able to invest in projects to expand and modernize their facilities, as well as enhance safety for travelers flying throughout the state.
