Caledonia, NY— Today, Marjorie Byrnes, a Republican and the Conservative candidate for the 133rd Assembly District, released an open letter to her Republican primary opponent, Assemblyman Joe Errigo. In the letter, she calls on Mr. Errigo to agree to a series of public debates ahead of the primary election.
Ms. Byrnes says, “The September 13 Republican Primary is rapidly approaching. Before the people of Livingston, Monroe and Steuben Counties cast their ballots, they need clear, comprehensive information on each candidate’s views and principles. The voters deserve to know which candidate will offer them real representation and a raised voice in Albany.”
In the letter, Byrnes says, “The details can be worked out between our campaigns, but I suggest that we hold a radio debate on WLEA primarily for the Steuben County audience, a live-audience debate to be broadcast via Facebook live and by any interested media at the Geneseo Riviera in Livingston County, and finally, another radio debate on WHAM 1180 in Monroe County.”
The Byrnes campaign has requested that the Errigo campaign respond by the close of business on Friday, August 24, 2018.
Marjorie L. Byrnes is a candidate for New York’s 133rd Assembly District. The 133rd includes all of Livingston County and small parts of southern Monroe and northern Steuben Counties.
