Allegany County Sheriff Rick Whitney reports that on August 14, 2018, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher D. Jackson, age 39 of Friendship, charging him with resisting arrest. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on July 25, 2018 in the Town of Friendship. Jackson was processed and transported to the Town of Friendship Court where he was arraigned and remanded to the Allegany County Jail with bail set at $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond, and is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Friendship Court on September 4, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. for additional court action.

On August 14, 2018, with the assistance of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies arrested Andrew T. Smith, age 23 of Bolivar, on an Allegany County Violation of Probation Warrant. Smith who was being released from the Steuben County Jail on unrelated charges, was processed and transported to Allegany County Court where he was arraigned and remanded to the Allegany County Jail with bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. Smith is scheduled to reappear in Allegany County Court on August 23, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. for additional court action.
