Probation ordered in Friendship drug case
A 36-year-old Friendship man will spend the next five years on probation. That sentence was handed down Wednesday in Allegany County court to Derek Drumm after he pleaded guilty to felony attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance 5th degree. According to a court report, Drumm conspired to sell Hydrocodone pills at the Maple Grove Trailer Park in Friendship in September and October 2017. Drumm was originally charged with far more serious crimes to include three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 5th, three counts of 5th degree conspiracy and criminal diversion of prescription medications. Judge Thomas Brown also ordered Drumm to pay a $325 court surcharge. Drumm was represented by attorney Ray Sciarrino. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Tom Fuoco.
