Olean: City inmate dies, police dispatcher will likely get a walk for negligence

It appears as if an Olean Police Dispatcher will get a pass after an inmate killed himself while she was charged with monitoring him. According to a Times Herald report, the case against 55-year-old Lorraine Sloane could be dismissed by next April. The inmate committed suicide and authorities said the dispatcher lied on an inmate check-in form. The special prosecutor said it was a difficult case to prove. A State investigation continues into the death.
