The opening event on Saturday, October 21 at 6:00 p.m. is free and the public is welcome.

Leong has presented over 200 lectures across the United States and Asia at international conferences and institutions and has served as curator and judge for more than 20 art exhibits, grants, and public art competitions.

“Leong’s multimedia work featuring large-scale ink paintings and contemporary video are influenced by concepts and traditions from both Eastern and Western cultures,” notes Alicia Taylor, director of exhibitions at the Houghton College Ortlip Gallery. “Focused on movement and materiality, this exhibition celebrates the radiance of cosmic energy, revealed through the synthesis of Lampo Leong’s artistic endeavors.”

Leong received his doctorate in art theory and practice from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, China his Master of Fine Arts in painting with High Distinction from the California College of the Arts, and his Bachelor of Fine Arts in ink painting from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.
