On April 9, 2017, the WNY EMS community lost one of its finest with the passing of Charles R. (Chuck) Koeppel.
Early in his career, Chuck served as a Paramedic and Supervisor for LaSalle Ambulance and joined the then small, but elite team of Mercy Flight Paramedics, being one of the first who helped Mercy Flight spread its wings. Chuck learned, cared for many, and then shared his knowledge and experience with others as an EMS Educator.
Chuck will always be a part of our foundation. From the entire Mercy Flight family, our deepest condolences to Chuck's family, friends and coworkers.
