One hurt in I-86 tractor trailer fire

Traffic on I-86 was snarled Saturday afternoon when flames reportedly consumed a tractor trailer. Allegany County sent firefighters to the scene at 5:17 p.m. The incident was in the westbound lane, between Belmont and Friendship. One person purportedly sustained airway burns or airway issues. LifeNet 77 was called to the scene and landed on the Interstate, which was closed WB at the Belmont on-ramp. The victim was transported to UR Medicine-Strong Memorial in Rochester. Fire Investigators were called to the scene to probe for the cause. I-86 was reopened to westbound traffic at 6:30 p.m.
