The Wellsville Main Street Festival is today and falls right in the middle (by design) to the Great Wellsville Hot Air Balloon Rally. There was a different vibe today, perhaps based on public safety aspects happening round the country and world. Leaving Jones Memorial Saturday morning, I glanced and observed Main Street was closed and packed with individuals. The difference this year...heavy equipment blocked the north and the south ends of Main Street. Equally, heavy equipment also blocked every side street access point to Main Street. Yeah...it has come to that in Wellsville. I think it was an appropriate public safety measure. Hot air balloons launched perfectly Friday evening and again Saturday morning.
