Demolition of South Barry Street Properties
July 16, 2025—Olean—The City of Olean announced that
the developer has started the demolition of the South Barry Street properties,
including the former Olean Lumber Company.
An air quality monitor is on site.
The properties are owned by DePaul, a private not-for-profit
organization serving over 5,000 people in fifteen counties in New York State. DePaul plans to build Olean Point Properties,
a 62-unit affordable housing development on the property.
