Steuben County man faces felony and other counts, later
sent to jail
The Canisteo Village Police Department on Tuesday arrested
Kevin J. Tibbits, 45, of State Route 961F in Arkport. He was charged with felony
first-degree aggravated criminal contempt, aggravated harassment and four
counts of endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, Tibbits
allegedly broke the terms of a court order involving a protected party. He was
processed at the Canisteo Police Department and transported to Steuben County
court for CAP arraignment. A judge set bail and Tibbitts was taken to the
county jail. Canisteo officers were assisted by NYS Parole and the Steuben DA.
