James W. Williamson III: Husband, Father, Grandfather
James W. Williamson III, 83, of Coudersport and formerly of
Cuba, New York, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Sweden Valley Manor,
Coudersport after a lengthy illness.
Born on August 22, 1941, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, he was
a son of James W. and Anne (Morris) Williamson, Jr. On July 23, 1960 he married the former Rose
Marie Dempsey who predeceased him on October 2, 2000. Later he married Kathleen Wilson who
survives.
James was a graduate of Sharon Township School. He began working in the printing business for
Deluxe Checks in Pennsylvania. He then
relocated to Cuba, New York and purchased a dairy farm on North Branch
Road. From 1983-89 he owned the Cuba
Patriot. He last was a printing press
operator for Minute Man Press in Cincinnati, Ohio prior to retiring.
He enjoyed woodworking, built a boat, golfing, and spending
time with his grandkids. He was a
handyman and could fix anything.
In addition to his wife Kathleen, he is survived by his children
Matthew (Jennifer) Williamson of Cuba, Rev. Megan (Charles) Harris of Shelbyville,
Kentucky, and Stephen (Tracy) Williamson of Cincinnati, OH; His grandchildren
Luke, Jessica, Jonah, Wyatt, Mark, Ryan, Annie, Alex, Paige, Sydney, and
Hayley, and 3 Great-great Grandchildren; a brother Gary A. Williamson; Several
Beloved Nieces and Nephews.
In addition to his first wife and parents, he was
predeceased by a sister Kendra Williamson.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
