Steuben Real Property Tax Auction postponed

The annual Steuben County Real Property Tax Auction has been postponed until a later date. County Deputy Finance Commissioner Patrick Donnelly told the county Legislature’s Finance Committee Tuesday the auction, typically held in mid-July, will be delayed until an appropriate site is located. Donnelly told the committee the delay is required due to postponement of court proceedings, along with social distancing requirements in response to COVID-19. Steuben officials will continue to monitor the progress of required court actions and the county Legislature will establish a new date in the coming months.
