Wellsville man charged with felony aggravated harassment by a prisoner - threw urine on jailer

Pennsylvania State Police have leveled a felony count against a Wellsville man currently incarcerated in the Bradford County, Pennsylvania Correctional Facility. Dennis Leslie Smith, 27, was charged by Towanda-based Troopers with felony aggravated harassment by a prisoner. According to a police report, Smith allegedly urinated into a cup and intentionally threw the urine onto a Bradford County Corrections Officer. Smith was arraigned at 11:15 a.m. Sunday by Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox and was remanded back to jail with bail set at $15,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 25th.
Smith was in jail after he was arrested on October 28th, 2019 in Sayre. He was initially charged with felony aggravated assault, strangulation and other counts. On February 24, 2020, he pled guilty to assault and recklessly endangering another person.
