Two people were injured in a vehicle crash Thursday at 8:40 p.m. in the Town of Wellsville. It happened on State Route 417/Andover Road near County Road 28/East State Street Ext. In the initial alert, 911 Dispatch said two people were injured and there was entrapment. An Assistant Fire Chief arrived and said an SUV was on its side, in a ditch. A section of State Route 417E was shut down during rescue operations. Two medical helicopters were placed on standby. It took about 15 minutes to free the occupants; Both were taken to Jones Memorial Hospital. State Police investigated. Wellsville EMS, Rescue and Fire all responded. Medical Transport stood by in Wellsville.
