Town of Wellsville Emergency Management issues statement

Press Release - Town of Wellsville Emergency Management:

Currently, we are at an elevated risk for the covid-19 with two people testing positive in the county. At this time, we recommend you don’t visit the elderly, we do recommend you call them to check on them and see if they need anything. We are working on a plan to assist the elderly in getting daily supplies to keep them from being exposed. Once we have the plan in place, we will notify the public. If you are assisting the elderly with this please leave supplies outside for them to get, do not enter their house nor make direct contact with them.
These precautionary measures are to help slow the spread of covid-19. Please refrain from large numbers in grocery stores. Continue, to wash your hands, maintain social distancing, disinfect all surfaces with CDC approved cleaners. We ask that you don’t panic, if you follow the recommendations by ACDOH, NYSDOH, and CDC we can slow the spread of this virus. We are looking out for the best interest for the citizens of the Town of Wellsville, if we all work together, we will get through this. We will keep you updated as this situation continues.
To check for updates on covid-19 you can go to www.cdc.gov.
