Potter County Announces Further Restrictions
In
response to updated information about health risks associated with COVID-19
(Coronavirus), and in order to protect the safety of the public and county
employees, the Potter County Commissioners and Emergency Management Coordinator
Glenn Dunn have issued the following advisory:
--All persons are asked to refrain from visiting county offices if at all possible. A host of services provided through the county are available online or can be conducted by mail – for example, dog licenses, fishing licenses, payment of certain taxes, etc. County staffers are available by phone to assist the public. A list of online options and telephone numbers can be found at www.pottercountypa.net.
--All
Potter County Senior Centers will be closed as of Thursday, March 19. Center
participants will be notified and will be provided their normal lunchtime meal,
either by delivery for through arrangement for pickup at the centers.

--Potter
County Veterans Affairs Office will no longer be available for walk-in service.

--Potter
County Conservation District in-person visits have been suspended. Appointments
can be made by calling 814-274-8411.
--Both
the Emergency Management Agency and the County Commissioners remain in contact
with the Pa. Emergency Management Agency, Pa. Dept. of Health and other public
agencies for timely and accurate information on the Coronavirus threat as well
as state and federal restrictions and related policies. Contingency plans are
in place in the event of a heightened threat that calls for stricter public
safety measures.
