Scio July 4th Picnic Cancelled

SCIO -- A July 4th community picnic for area residents has been cancelled. The free event, originally scheduled for Independence Day at Knights Creek Church, will not be held due to the church making preparations for the funeral of Mary Hawks, mother-in-law and mother of Pastor Carl Kemp and his wife, Linda.  Church officials said another free community picnic is being planned for later this summer.  Further information on church activities is available at www.facebook.com/KnightsCreekChurch.
