Floyd B. Spicer, Jr., 84, of Frostproof, FL and Corning, NY,
died Tuesday, June 11, 2019 in Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NY. Born April 26, 1935, in Stannards, he was the
son of Floyd B. and Lena Griggs Spicer.
On January 3, 1959, he married the former Charlotte Waters, who
predeceased him on May 10, 2006. A
graduate of Wellsville Central School, he served honorably with the US Marine
Corps for four years. He was employed as
a guard at Monterey Correctional Facility, Monterey, NY. Surviving are: three children, Floyd B. (Valerie Daniels)
Spicer, III of Frostproof, FL, Dawn Wragg of Corning, and Scott Spicer of
Corning; seven grandchildren, Rebecca
(David) Allen, Joshua (Stephanie) Spicer, Kelsey Spicer, Seth Spicer, Claire
Wragg, Alex Spicer, and Owen Spicer;
four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Marshall, Mickayla, and Jameson; nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased
by a brother, Richard L. Spicer; and two infant brothers. Private Funeral Services will be held in the
Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home, Wellsville, NY. Military Rites will be accorded by members of
Morrison B. Hayes American Legion Post #702 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Whitesville Rural
Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St.
