Prison sentence handed to Wellsville man

A Wellsville man is headed to prison after he was first accused of a sex crime with a child under the age of 13. In Allegany County court today, 58-year-old Anthony Kidd was sentenced to serve 1 1/2 to 3 years behind bars. He was arrested last June and charged with felony 1st degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. He later pleaded guilty to attempted 2nd degree felony assault. Judge Thomas Brown handed down the sentence in Belmont. Mike Finn prosecuted the case for the District Attorney's office and Kidd was represented by Public Defender Barb Kelly.
