ORIGINAL STORY IS BELOW-
On March 20, 2019, at approximately 7:45 a.m., State Police responded to State Route 417 in the town of Erwin for a report of a serious accident involving an Addison Central School District Bus. A vehicle traveling eastbound on St-417 and for an unknown reason, crossed over into the westbound lane and struck the Addison School Bus head on. The driver of the passenger vehicle was killed and the driver and the 10 students on board the school bus were uninjured.
EMS checked out all
of the children involved in the accident and reported no injuries. All the children will be transported to
Corning Guthrie Hospital for further medical checks. St-417 is closed in that area and will be
closed for several hours. The State
Police will release more information when it becomes available.
