PRESS RELEASE
INTERSTATE 390: Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the
arrest of three people on drug related charges after a traffic stop on
Interstate 390. On March 7, 2019 Deputy Shawn Whitford was assigned to the Sheriff’s
Office Operation Safe Interstate initiative, when he stopped a vehicle on
Interstate 390 for a violation of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law.
The Deputy Sheriff found the vehicle to be occupied by three
people. Based on his observations in the vehicle, he suspected that the three
were involved in drug activity and conducted a roadside drug investigation. The
operator was identified as 28-year-old Larissa J. Hall from Wayland NY, a
passenger 26-year-old Oren W. Clark-Schultz from Alfred NY, and another
passenger 25-year-old Michayla A. Welytok from Dansville NY.
It is alleged that Larissa Hall was in possession of a drug
smoking device, a hypodermic needle, and a quantity of marijuana. It is further
alleged that Hall attempted to conceal the smoking device on her person when
the Deputy Sheriff pulled the vehicle over. Hall was arrested and charged with
felony Tampering with Physical Evidence, Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic
Instrument, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
It is also alleged that Oren Clark-Schultz was in possession
of a hypodermic needle. Clark-Schultz was arrested and charged with Criminal
Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument.
It is further alleged that Michayla Welytok was in
possession of a drug smoking device. Welytok was arrested and charged with
Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree.
All three were later arraigned at the Livingston County
Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town
of Groveland Justice Jeanean Love. The Judge did remand all three to the
custody of the Sheriff. Hall was remanded on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond,
Clark-Schultz was remanded on $250 cash bail or $500 bond, and Welytok was
remanded on $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond.

Bryan Mann, and Trooper TJ McDonnell with his K-9 partner Mik.
