Andover Central hires Dougherty as School Safety Officer

The halls of Andover school will soon be protected by a veteran law enforcement officer. The district has hired John Dougherty of Andover as its School Security Officer. The school board created the full-time position at its September 10th meeting. For the last 17 years, Dougherty has worked at Alfred University as its Chief of Public Safety. Dougherty has also worked at various municipal police departments including Wellsville.
