RELEASE: Reed Earns “A” Rating from NRA, Mitrano Given an F

PRESS RELEASE

REED EARNS “A” RATING FROM NRA, MITRANO IS GIVEN AN “F”Tracy Mitrano has earned an “F” rating from the National Rifle Association. According to its website, an F rating is given to someone who is a “True enemy of gun owners' rights. A consistent anti-gun candidate who always opposes gun owners' rights and/or actively leads anti-gun legislative efforts, or sponsors anti-gun legislation.”
Mitrano drew attention when she called for a national gun registry during the primary campaign
then changed her position on the registry after winning the primary, and lied about it.
“Tracy’s opinion on protecting our Second Amendment rights changes depending on who she is talking to,” observed Tom Reed’s campaign spokeswoman Abbey Daugherty. “It’s no surprise that she earned an F as she tries to hide her extreme view opposing individual gun rights. Our 2nd Amendment rights are targeted by those who only wish that the government and criminals have firearms. Tom will not allow that to happen.”
Tom Reed earned an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association. “We support and defend all individual rights granted by the Constitution,” said Daugherty. “Tom is an avid hunter and sportsman who understands our way of life in the Southern Tier, Finger Lakes and Western New York.”
“Tom Reed is a steadfast supporter of our constitutional right to self-defense,” said Chris W. Cox, NRA-PVF. “He has never wavered in the fight to expand and protect the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens and is the only candidate in this race we can trust to protect our constitutional freedoms. The NRA encourages all members, sportsmen and Second Amendment supporters to vote for Tom Reed in November.”
