This year's Music Fest is going to have a different feel to
it. First, the car show is going to be held from Noon – 3 p.m. and it is going
to be on the block between Madison and Fassett Streets. Take in the atmosphere
of some great wheels in a new setting among the historic downtown buildings.
Then it's time for the families to take over with Kid's
Activities starting at 3 p.m. on the David A. Howe Library lawn. There will be
face painting, a bounce house, carnival games, sidewalk chalk, free prizes and
a whole lot of fun.
The annual cornhole tournament starts at 4 p.m. and moves
back into the street this year as the music begins to play around it. Sonya
Plank will start off the show as this local up and coming artist looks to let
you hear what she can do.
At 6:30 p.m., the Voodoo Cavemen take over the stage and
lead up to the main event. Meat Cutters Union is back, bigger and better than
ever, as they take the stage from 9 p.m. - Midnight to cap off a great family
day and fun party evening.
