Bath-based state police report the arrest of David Conyers
Jr., 37,of Bath, NY. It is alleged that Conyers engaged in a physical
altercation with another co-worker at Pleasant Valley Winery in Hammondsport, NY.
State Police Investigator Jonathan Stelmack reports that during this
altercation, Conyers allegedly utilized a broom handle to repeatedly strike the
adult victim. As a result of the altercation, the victim sustained injuries to
his head, which required medical attention.
Conyers was charged with Assault 2nd degree, a felony and Criminal
Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned in the
Urbana Town Court and released on his own recognizance to re-appear at a later
date and time.
