Cuba man pleads guilty to rape involving child under age 13
A 36-year-old Cuba man has admitted to the crime a 2nd
degree rape, a class D felony. Richard Edwards entered his guilty plea in Cattaraugus County
court. The District Attorney said the incidents occurred between March 6, 2011
and May 1, 2013, in the Town of Hinsdale. Prosecutors said Edwards engaged in
sexual intercourse with another person who was less than thirteen years old.
Sentencing is scheduled for May 21, 2018.
