A 22-year-old man, who currently is listed as an Allegany County jail inmate, has pleaded guilty to two felony counts of possession of an obscene sexual performance by a child. In court on Friday, Tristin L. Weidman, who has had Belmont and Wellsville addresses, pleaded guilty to the crimes which occurred August 16, 2017 in Belmont.
According to a press statement from the Allegany County District Attorney's Office, "during a home visit by the Allegany County Probation Department, (Weidman) was found to be in possession of two cell phones which he was not authorized to have. The phones were seized and upon a search of the phones, there were images of child pornography found." He was sentenced by Judge Thomas Brown to ten years sex offender probation, fined a $1,000 sex offender surcharge, fined a $325 surcharge, $50 DNA fee and $50 sex offender registration fee.
On May 3, 2016, Weidman was sentenced to six years probation after he was convicted of the misdemeanor offense of attempted possession of an obscene sexual performance by a five year old child.
Weidman was represented by attorney Patricia Fogerty. The case was prosecuted by ADA Mike Finn.
