Man gets arrested for tampering with electric meter


The New York State Police in Troop “E”, S.P. Bath report the arrest of William Hall II, 38 years of age, from Corning, NY. Mr. Hall was charged with Criminal Tampering in the second degree and Theft of Services. The arrest stemmed from an investigation conducted after State Troopers were called to a residence on East Union Road in Bath. Steuben Rural Electric reported that Mr. Hall had allegedly used force to damage and remove the security lock on the electric monitoring meter. Subsequent to Mr. Hall’s arrest, he was found to have an active bench warrant for traffic related offenses. Mr. Hall was issued an appearance ticket for the above charges to return to Bath Town Court and released to the custody of the Corning City Police Department.
